Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026
QDES (CVR 42351830), based in Denmark, respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. What Data May Be Collected
Depending on how you interact with our website and products, we may collect contact data, demo and request data, app usage data, and — where you choose to upload files into a QDES product — the contents of those files.
2. Contact Data
When you fill in a contact form, request a demo, or email us, we collect details such as your name, work email, company, role, and the content of your message, in order to respond to your enquiry.
3. Demo and Request Data
When you request a product demonstration or trial, we collect information needed to schedule and deliver the demo, such as your contact details, company, intended use case, and any evaluation feedback you provide.
4. App Usage Data
We may collect technical and usage data about how the website and our products are used — such as pages visited, features used, device and browser type, and approximate location based on IP address — to operate, secure, and improve our services.
5. Uploaded Files and Customer Data
If you upload files, datasets, or other content into a QDES product (for example during a demo or as a customer), that content is processed only to provide the requested functionality. It remains your property and is not used to train models for other customers unless separately agreed in writing.
6. AI Provider / API Processing Notice
Some QDES products optionally use third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google) via API to generate outputs. Where this applies, relevant inputs are transmitted to that provider for processing under that provider's own data-handling terms. Where possible, QDES offers local or private-model alternatives for privacy-sensitive workflows. We do not sell personal data to AI providers or any other third party.
8. Legal Basis Under GDPR
We process personal data on the following legal bases: performance of a contract or to take steps toward one (e.g. demo requests, customer onboarding); legitimate interest (e.g. securing and improving our website and products); consent (e.g. optional analytics cookies); and compliance with a legal obligation, where applicable.
9. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, to comply with legal, accounting, or reporting obligations, or to resolve disputes, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
10. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We may share data with service providers who support our operations (such as hosting, email, analytics, and AI providers) under confidentiality and data protection terms, or where required by law.
11. Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to object to certain processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet) or your local supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below.
12. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
